What's the Best Method for Tracking Pipeline Velocity?

I would like to easily see what is coming into the pipeline, falling out, and closing over time in the form of a graph and data points. Does anyone have tips or tricks for doing this in Gong/Salesforce?

Automated email send limits?

Hi! 👋🏻 First, thanks for your insight.  My sales team is eager to hop onto Gong, but I had some questions around regulatory controls that they weren’t sure how to answer.Does Gong have the ability to send emails in an automated manner?  If so, are there ways to limit things such as emails to a domain in a day, or overall messages per second and so forth?With Google’s limits on sends, I’m hopeful to mitigate the risks associated to automations that use Google as an MTA (I understand that mails will get sent through our Google Workspace?)Thank you!Alex

I’m getting a notification that my Gong AI Summary isn’t available for a call. Anyone know what we did wrong here? It’s the first time I’ve seen this happen.

Recovering from invalid refresh tokens

On making a refresh token request, a new refresh token is generated and the old refresh token is invalidated. If the new refresh token is somehow lost, there’s no way to recover. Is it possible to make the old refresh token stay valid for a grace period after it is used in making a refresh token call?

API - handling data updates in Gong

Hi! When using the Gong API to sync data out of Gong, is there some standard pattern for keeping data up to date? In the documentation I see webhook rules which only can send webhooks after a call is processed and retrieving calls by date range which doesn’t support polling by updated times.  Is there some other approach to syncing data that I’ve missed, or is the usual pattern just getting the Gong call data once it’s done processing, and not expect any changes otherwise? Thanks for any insight!

oAuth user profile

Hello all! Since we are trying to integrate with the API that Gong is providing, we are interested in being able to identify the user that got oAuth-ed. Is the a way to achieve this? I am looking through the docs for some time now, and might be that I am missing it some where.In other words said, we want to get the user data for the oAuth-ed user.

Edit Prospect Highlights

Gong recorded a call and one of the bullets in the Prospect Highlights pane in the Call Spotlight references a competitor the customer mentioned. The problem is it didn’t capture the name correctly and I’d like to be able to edit it with the correct name for tracking and reporting purposes. Is this possible?

How to aggregate Activity in Gong, specifically inbound/outbound emails and calls

I want to model out the characteristics of closed won deals.   One of the metrics I am keenly interested in is the number of customer facing interactions.   I am less concerned about sales cycle as I am how many touches does it take.   I can see this information when I go to Account Status.   I can look deal by deal for all closed won activities but this is very time consuming.   What I can’t seem to find in places like insights is a roll up for all inbound email, outbound email and calls.   If I can see that in aggregate by seller that would give me amazing insight for what a closed won deal looks like.   That would be a massive win for me as a sales leader.   Is there a way to export this data?   I don’t mind doing the work in excel if I can’t get it in Gong.   I am trying to upload an image the icon here doesn’t seem to want to let me add the screenshot.   In short, if I go to account status I see exactly what I am after but I can’t do this across 50 deals a quarter and manually ent

API Request Authorization issue

Im trying to use the Gong API from Postman. I have my access key and secret. Ive added the Authorization header with a value of <AccessKey>:<AccessSecret> but when i try to use it I get { "requestId": "12345", "errors": [ "Missing mandatory header \"Authorization\"" ]}Anyone know whats going wrong?

In Person meeting impact

Anyone have ideas on how we can use Gong to measure the impact of live (in person) meetings?  We feel pretty confident that when a in person meeting happens, the outcome is better… We’d like to A) show that in Gong - maybe as Win/Loss report and/or show it on our dealboards- i.e. flag those that don’t have activity type of In Person Meeting..  Hope this makes sense and would LOVE any ideas anyone has.

Retrieve calls from API with presentation shared in it

Hi, I’m trying to retrieve calls from Gong’s API filtering on the ones where a  specific slide was presented. I see the interface in Gong has a filter for keywords in slides but I don’t see any filter in the API. Is it not available in the API or I’m not looking right?Thanks!

Possible to tag people in Gong from Sales Nav?

Is there a way to “Tag” users in Gong from within Sales Navigator? Or add to a Flow directly from Sales Nav? My workflow is to get a list together in Nav of say 50 people that I want to add to a flow. But right now I have to then go and look them up one by one in Gong to add each to a Flow manually.I used to be able to use this in Outreach using the Outreach Chrome extension. From my Nav list I could use the extension to tag people in Outreach. Then I could go to Outreach, easily find the 50 people with the tag, and add them all to a flow.Right now I am finding the process VERY SLOW to add a good list of people to a flow in Gong.

Gong for Salesforce is not installed Error

Hi.  I connected Gong to Salesforce, then installed Gong for Salesforce and completed the configuration.  In Gong, It’s still showing Gong for Salesforce is not installed.   Can anyone help diagnose what I did wrong, or didn’t do?

Extracting data through Fivetran connector - missing crm and conversations tables

I’m extracting Gong data to our warehouse using Fivetran. For some reason I do not see the Conversations tables and the CRM tables (entity value, deal, account etc) showing data from our SFDC. I’m seeing other tables such as trackers, calls, worksapce, scorecard.Are these tables created by default? Does it require some additional configuration? Fivetran ERD for Gong appears here

Searching in Gong

Is there a way to have Gong look for a phrase in emails instead of calls? When I type a phrase in the search bar it only shows me where that phrase has been said in sales calls but I want to search emails as well.

Can Gong update only certain Salesforce event records?

We don’t need to update all related Salesforce event records.  Nor do we need to sync all the Gong data into Salesforce.  We just need to update the related Salesforce event as to the duration of the meeting.  Does Gong have out of the box configuration that can do this?  Or is an api call required?Thanks
