We have teams that collaborate on accounts and might be targeting the same contacts. If someone tries to add a contact that is already part of another flow, how can we lock it down so they can’t remove that person?

Hi @Kaitlin Pertl!

There’s no way to prevent users from being able to remove prospects from flows, but anytime you’re adding people to flows, you’ll get a warning if any of these people are already in a different flow and would be removed through that action.

Would it alleviate this issue if team members were able to add a contact to another flow in addition to the flow that contact is already in? Or conversely, would it help if you were able to designate the specific flow that the person is in as “exclusive” to prevent them from being added to additional flows? We have upcoming functionality that adds these functions so I’m hopeful that this might address your situation.

This aside, the way to prevent the current issue is to remind your team to be mindful of the warning in the pop up and to not add contacts who are in other flows. Additionally, if your team uses saved filters on the People page for the process of adding people to flows, you can add filters into your already saved ones to filter out people who are currently in a flow (either any flow or specific flows by name) which will prevent them from coming up in the results and being included in the bulk selection for adding people to flows.

Please reach out if there’s anything that could be clarified further!

Additionally, I recommend joining the Engage group if you haven’t already. This is a great place to ask Engage related questions! You can find it in the groups page: https://visioneers.gong.io/groups
