Need help with Sandler Sales Trackers

Hi all! My colleagues and I have implemented some Sandler Sales trackers in Gong but they’re super broad and aren’t pulling in calls with the precision we’d like. Does anyone have some awesome Sandler trackers they’d be willing to share? Here are some examples of our trackers that are way too general!

How to see all the flows a person is in

Is there a report or way to see which flows a person is in.  I can go to the people tab and see they are in a flow but it doesn’t tell me which ones specifically.

Analyse call transcripts in bulk for content marketing purposes

Hi, I’m a content marketeer at a SaaS company. I love Gong. I find myself reading through the call transcripts of our sales and csm people quite often in search of interesting topics, returning questions, pain points and detractors of prospects and customers. While I don’t mind doing this, it is time-consuming and difficult to prioritise or segment ideas, because I can only review them one at a time. I’m wondering if there is a way to automate the process and doing it in bulk to generate a better overview. I have been looking into creating a flow using Zapier, ChatGPT and Notion, but maybe there’s a more straightforward approach available within Gong itself.

Can the Gong API Return Speaker Names/Email Instead of Speaker IDs in Transcripts?

I’m currently using the Gong API (v2/calls/transcript) to retrieve call transcripts, and each transcript entry lists speakerId. For better readability and ease of integration, we would prefer to retrieve the actual speaker names or emails instead of just speakerId values.Is there an option in the Gong API to directly return speaker names or emails? Or, is there an endpoint available that allows us to map speakerId values to corresponding names or emails?  I’d appreciate any insights.Thanks

Increase the downloadMediaUrl /v2/calls 1.5GB file size limit.

The file referenced in the downloadMediaUrl in the /v2/calls endpoint has an upload limit of 1.5GB. It works fine for telephony calls, but practically speaking this is pretty small for high res long conference calls. We help a lot of Gong customers migrate calls from other products, and spend a lot of time compressing media files to fit within the 1.5GB limit. Is there a way to increase the limit, if not for all calls could we log a ticket to have it increased for a specific customer for a limited period of time to help migrations?

Multiple Emails Sent at Once

I’m using Flows in Gong Engage, and I have two auto emails scheduled to be sent. One was set to be sent one business day from the previous step (a call), and the next email was supposed to be sent 3 business days after that. However, Gong sent both of these emails at the same time. Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks.

Changing subject lines mid-flow

Hey all, we’ve recently rolled out Gong Engage for our prospecting efforts, and in a flow, we would like to be able to reply to a previous email, but edit the subject line (IE initial email’s SL is “connecting some dots” and a subsequent email would be edited to “following up - connecting some dots”, and so on). I’m not seeing where to do that in Engage, but was wondering if I’m missing it somewhere? Conor

Zapier help - Internal Server Error

The app returned "Internal Server Error". Getting this when trying to run a Zap when a call is completed, all the testing works fine in Zapier but I get this when trying to turn it on - does anyone have any ideas?

Announcing Call Is Recorded for Cold Calls

Hey Community, We have been using Gong for about a year. We only use it for scheduled appointments using MS Teams. When that happens the customer gets the email 10 minutes before with consent language AND when the meeting starts the audible voice announces the call being recorded.We are exploring expanding Gong for all outbound calls our sellers are making. Gong’s recommendation is to have sellers announce the call is being recorded when making calls and my sellers don’t want to announce as it could make it awkward/lead to bad calls especially with cold calls.I would love to know how others are approaching the best practice from Gong and the pushback from the sellers? If your sellers are announcing, have you seen any decline in answer rates/ time on the phone with sellers?Thank you all for your experience.

Gong Salesforce Object - Structure/Agenda

I was looking at some of the Custom Objects in Salesforce related to Gong and I saw one called Structure with an API name of Gong__Agenda__c but I cannot find any documentation on what it is or what it’s meant to house. Really the only reference to it I can locate is this: https://help.gong.io/docs/data-model-structure Is this something anyone uses? Was it deprecated? Thanks!

Channel Sales G2M and Deals Funcrionality

Hello Community, We have been a Gong user for almost a year. Our go-to-market strategy is our sellers calling technology resellers across the USA and having them sell our financing products. This means we are not talking to the end users that sign our contracts and if we are talking about deals with our customers we are talking about their pipeline of deals and not an individual deal.We would like to be using “Deals” in Gong, but have not found a way that this functionality works for us. Are there any others in this community that sell through a channel of resellers and not direct and has some examples of success using Deals? I appreciate any advice you can share. Thank you,Cody

Gong and Calendly : Round robin events

Hi everybody,  i´m new to Gong and i tried to search for a solution for Calendly within this community and help section. I understand that gong personal links should be used in Calendly which i setup based on this help article https://help.gong.io/docs/en/set-up-calendly-to-work-with-gong The problem is that the round robin event in calendly expects a custom link as well. I have three team members added to the round robin but still the event wants it`s own custom link.  The question is how should we solve this. Is there anywhere a generic recording / consent link in Gong which i can use here? Thanks for the quick turnaround Ralf

How do I extract transcripts from my calls?

I want to be able to summarize the calls that my team is having and have that summary sent to me. I’ve been try to figure out a way to export all the call transcripts for specific team members, and then have set up an automation using Zapier and a custom GPT that should process this transcript and send me the summary to Slack.  I’m stuck at step 1, where I cannot find a way to extract the transcript for a gong call. Have folks successfully achieved this?

Bulk association of calls in Salesforce

I have a large number of Conversations in Salesforce that I want to associate with Person Accounts.  I’ve done CSV with the Gong ID and the Salesforce ID but I’m getting errors.  Has anyone done this? If so, do you need anything beyond those two fields? Any tips would be great.

Gong API is not recognising my filters or my cursor and just gives me first page everytime

I am trying to download all my detailed call records and call transcripts using the Gong API through postman. When I use the ‘GET’ function to get the calls, i am able to use the standard process of adding the cursor as a parameter to get the further pages. However, when I use the ‘POST’ function to get detailed call reports or transcripts, i enter the cursor into the body and it just returns the first page again every time. Ive tried so many workarounds, like using filters to get a date range of call reports or transcripts, but even the filters don’t work! It is driving me absolutely crazy! I’ve tried literally everything.

Gong --> ChatGPT --> SFDC Integration

Just curious if anyone has done any of the integrations like this: Take the transcript from a Gong call; send it to ChatGPT to ask the GPT some standardized question(s); and then put the results of that into SFDC on the associated account.   The use case is to do some analysis on a call beyond what Gong’s current AI can do and append the SFDC record with that analysis.  I currently use Zapier which integrates to all three tools; but curious if anyone has any experience doing this.

How can we prevent users from removing people from someone else's flow?

We have teams that collaborate on accounts and might be targeting the same contacts. If someone tries to add a contact that is already part of another flow, how can we lock it down so they can’t remove that person?

I’m sending a request to v2/calls/extensive? and trying to fetch data for the previous UTC hour.Request body:{'filter': {'fromDateTime': '2024-09-23T19:58:59Z', 'toDateTime': '2024-09-23T20:59:02Z'}} I’m receiving some records, but when I rerun the same request later, I get many more additional records.What could be the reason for this behavior, and is there a way to fix it?
