Hello,

I need to catch every mention of security tools and source code management repositories from our customer tools.

Gong seems to be struggling with the volume of calls in scope, and also the number of keywords in the filter (it let me enter them all and save the stream).

Are there hard limits for a) numbers of calls in scope or b) number of keywords in a filter , per stream … that I should not go beyond ?
Is the solution to split things into more streams ?

Many thanks

Joe

Hi @Joe Rose

  • No hard limit on calls per stream. Streams are just saved filters; Gong doesn’t publish a max call count per stream.
  • Real limits are on trackers, not streams:
    • Up to 550 keywords/phrases per keyword tracker (comma-separated).
    • Unlimited keyword trackers per workspace.
    • 20 question-based smart trackers per workspace.

For a big security-tools / SCM use case, best practice is:

  • Put long keyword lists into keyword trackers, not directly in the stream filter.
  • If you exceed 550 terms, split into multiple trackers, then:
    • Either reference multiple trackers in one stream, or
    • Use separate streams by topic/audience to reduce noise.

So the fix is usually splitting your keywords across multiple trackers (and sometimes multiple streams), not worrying about a calls-per-stream limit.
