How do I extract transcripts from my calls?

I want to be able to summarize the calls that my team is having and have that summary sent to me. I’ve been try to figure out a way to export all the call transcripts for specific team members, and then have set up an automation using Zapier and a custom GPT that should process this transcript and send me the summary to Slack.  I’m stuck at step 1, where I cannot find a way to extract the transcript for a gong call. Have folks successfully achieved this?

Gong activity incorrectly assigned to an account

While customers and prospects are associated in SFDC under one account, partners are working on various opps in other accounts.When capturing calls with partners, It’s more important that the calls would be associated to the relevant account and opp discussed in the call.Manually associating the calls is what we’re doing now, but is there a better way?

Teams Phone Recording

Has anyone been able to get Teams Phone integrated with Gong?  I’m not talking about Teams meetings, but just regular calls inbound/outbound using Microsoft Teams.  I’ve had a ticket open with Gong for 2 months.  Hoping someone from the community can at least validate that it works.Microsoft Teams PhoneWe get an error when running the Sync-CsOnlineApplicationInstance powershell command.  Status: NoContent

Deal Forecast View - Full Fiscal Year

As part of my team forecast process I’d like to see the teams full pipeline for the fiscal year (ideally grouped by quarter, but I’d settle for just full fiscal year). Currently our “Deals closing in” options are limited to months and quarters. Is there a way to turn on an option to show full fiscal year or enter a custom range?

Restrict Line of Business to certain users

I’d like to restrict users to only see relevant Lines of Business.  Am i missing something or is this a feature request?Background - Account Executives who are forecasting Direct deals, we don’t want seeing all other lines of business (some thoughts like our Channel Overlay forecasting, Product groups)in some cases they wouldn’t be on the opportunity team - but would see a list of LOBs;  but in some they would be able to see the deals on a deal board,- but we want to keep forecasts independent

What are objectsCrmIds in CRM API

1) I am trying to use the Get CRM objects (/v2/crm/entities) API. What is objectCrmsIds? and how do i find them. I am uploading a Contact CRM. “objectId” here is “objectCrmsIds” ??   After uploading Contact/Account CRM. where can i view these details in Gong UI? I assume “objectId” is record id. why GONG internally doesn’t assign a unique objectID? why should a user provide a unique id(ObjectId) when uploading data via CRM API?

Tracking Prospecting activity in Gong Engage

I’m trying to figure out if it is possible to delineate different types of call activity within Engage. Use Case: We have three types of calls Sales Reps make. Prospecting Calls (generating new outbound business), Lead Follow-Up Calls (Following up on inbound leads), and Opportunity Follow-Up Calls (following up with active open opportunities. In Salesforce, we did this within a task by simply adding a Call Type Field. It doesn’t seem like there is any analog in Gong. The only options within Analytics is to filter by Flow activity, but in theory, any of these call types could be included in a Flow. The other recommendation I saw is to filter by account type (prospect vs. customer), but we sell to both prospects and customers (upsell/cross sell additional products)Is there any good way to actually delineate how many outbound prospecting activities a team of reps in doing?

Analyse call transcripts in bulk for content marketing purposes

Hi, I’m a content marketeer at a SaaS company. I love Gong. I find myself reading through the call transcripts of our sales and csm people quite often in search of interesting topics, returning questions, pain points and detractors of prospects and customers. While I don’t mind doing this, it is time-consuming and difficult to prioritise or segment ideas, because I can only review them one at a time. I’m wondering if there is a way to automate the process and doing it in bulk to generate a better overview. I have been looking into creating a flow using Zapier, ChatGPT and Notion, but maybe there’s a more straightforward approach available within Gong itself.

Ability to alter the Activity subject line pushed to Salesforce

Currently we have Gong, Zoom and SF integrated.  Under settings/Salesforce Integration, we have the “Create Salesforce tasks when calls are processed” set to TRUE.  When tasks are pushed into SF, the subject is prepended with Zoom: xxxxxxxx.  I’d like to alter this subject line.  Does anyone know of a config in Gong or Zoom that dictates this subject line of the task?  Or is the solution to create automation in SF to update the subject?

HubSpot Calling / Telephony - Caller Role Reversal Issue

Hey all,Wondering if anyone else is utilizing HubSpot Calling and is running into the following issue and may have found a solution?In HubSpot Calling, the call initiator is always Speaker 1 (Stereo Left), so depending on outbound/inbound it is our company employee, or a prospect/customer respectively. The Gong telephony integration setting needs to be set for the company employee to be either Stereo Left or Right.In our case we currently have it set to Stereo Left, and thus on all inbound calls, the roles on the transcripts are reversed, i.e. the transcript says our employee is speaking, but it’s actually the customer. This messes up all the call statistics of talk ratio, patience, etc. as well as trackers that are set to only track mentions by prospects. No solution currently seems to exists from Gong or HubSpot support.

Record a call with the Gong assistant externally hosted meeting

Hi, I follow the instructions to add gong to a call hosted outside my organisation. I have tried 3 different approaches. The external company uses Teams. We use Google email/calendar and typically Zoom for calls.https://help.gong.io/docs/how-to-record-calls#record-a-call-with-the-gong-assistant Asked the external company to add the gong assistant as a participant and resend the invite. This results in "Unfortunately, we can't record this call because the email you used to send the invite is not registered in Gong. When forwarding a meeting invite to boomi@assistant.gong.io, use the same email account as the one you use to sign in to Gong." as expected per the documentation as they are not Gong users. Tried forwarding the meeting email invite I received to the Gong assistant. As far as I can tell nothing happened. There was no achnowledgement or response of any kind. Tried adding the assistant as a participant to the meeing via editing the Gmail calendar entry, adding the Gong assistant

Partner Channel Problems

Hi All, Long time user of Gong. Hoping that there is another who has found a workaround to a problem we’re having.We have a robust partner channel. Many of our partners are associated with a great number of open opportunities. With calls, it is easy to manually associate the call with the correct opportunity right in Gong.Our problem is with email. The emails all end up in the partner account, and with our instance of SFDC set up as it is, Gong cannot “understand” that the email is related to one of many opportunities, and it lands in the partner activity record.Anyone have a workaround on this?Thanks in advance, Andrea
