Hi,We have a curious case with Gong forecasting.Our reps are working on a 50k renewal deal, and they are quite sure they will close this => so they put the deal to “Commit” forecast category.However - there’s a chance for a huge expansion, so the deal might end up being worth 250k and the reps changed the deal amount to 250k. The chance for this additional 200k is much lower, so logically, the 200k would belong to “Best case” forecast category.However - the deal can only belong to one forecast category.At the moment, we put the deal in “Commit”, and we correct the submitted forecast number like:They add 50k to “Commit” They add 250k to “Best case”The issue is that this is confusing for our management because they can see that the deal value in “Commit” is 250k, but we only forecast 50k.We definitely don’t want to create 2 deals (one with 50k in “Commit” and one with 200k in “Best case”), because this is one opportunity with one contract.What’s the best practice here? Any tips?

This is a fun tip I learned at a Gong fireside chat. At the deal level you can ask Gong AI “why will we lose this deal?” The AI will break out all gaps and missing pieces in your opp. Now your rep can use this intel to go back to the prospect with the right messaging to fill the gaps and win the deal. I hope this is helpful!

A lot of teams I’ve been working with lately are realizing they’re sitting on a treasure trove of data and that AI Builder is a fast way to turn that into real, practical value and content without a heavy lift on their team’s part. Here are a few quick wins that I’m seeing teams leverage: 30-60-90 day onboarding plans Using historical call notes, deal data, and existing enablement materials, teams are prompting AI Builder to create structured onboarding plans for new hires. Using filters on your existing calls, content is easily tailored to role, segment, or region. This makes it much easier to ramp people consistently and start building your onboarding strategy without reinventing the wheel.  Stronger, data-backed scorecards Instead of guessing at “what good looks like,” teams are grounding scorecards in real patterns from their Gong data. For folks that are not used to building scorecards, it can be difficult to define exactly what milestones matter most and how to measure success.

Hi. I am just starting the Foundation Certification. I am in Sales Ops and work with the Sales Team and excited to learn more about how Gong can help us.  Any tips on the certification program? 

Hi Gong team,I've set up a Call brief in Agent Studio (AI Briefer) and it works great in the UI. I'd like to be able to retrieve the brief output programmatically via API.I noticed the existing GET /v2/entities/get-brief endpoint is built specifically for CRM entities (Account, Deal, Contact, Lead), so it doesn't cover Call briefs. Is there a plan to add a dedicated API endpoint for retrieving Call brief results?I found a community post from ~5 months ago where a Gong support rep mentioned the relevant endpoints are "currently in alpha" — is that still the case, and is there an ETA for public availability?Thank you!

I want to use theme spotter to identify the top industry terms and acronyms used on customer calls.  I want this information to help with my onboarding of new BDRs and sellers that don’t have industry experience.    It looks like there are only specific questions I can choose in theme spotter vs creating my own.  Is that really the case or is this operator error?   Admittedly I am a novice WRT theme spotter.   Any guidance here is appreciated.  Thanks, Joe! 

Hello,I need to catch every mention of security tools and source code management repositories from our customer tools.Gong seems to be struggling with the volume of calls in scope, and also the number of keywords in the filter (it let me enter them all and save the stream).Are there hard limits for a) numbers of calls in scope or b) number of keywords in a filter , per stream … that I should not go beyond ?Is the solution to split things into more streams ?Many thanksJoe

 Hi Gong community 👋I'm building an Account Overview AI Briefer that pulls from two sources: Conversation Intelligence (call transcripts, emails, meetings) Public web enrichment (prospect's website, LinkedIn, etc.) My goal is for the brief to behave like this:If a fact is already confirmed in conversation history, don't repeat it from the web. Web data should only fill gaps — not duplicate what the prospect already said directly on a call.Before I bake this logic into my prompt, I want to understand what Gong actually controls.My questions: When both Conversation Intelligence and Web data are enabled as sources in a Briefer, does Gong's AI automatically deduplicate across them or does it treat each source independently and surface everything it finds? Can the briefer prompt reliably instruct the AI to prefer one source over another (e.g., "conversations take priority; web fills gaps only")? Or does the prompt not have that level of control over how sources are weighted? Is there
