Visioneer Community Guidelines

Updated: December 1, 2021

We’re so glad you’re here! This is a safe and welcoming community where all our members are asked to abide by the following rules:

🏷️️ No ‘for sale’ signs. Sure, you get that spam is unwanted here, but so is the sale or promotion of your own products/services. That’s not what this platform is for, so please, peddle your wares elsewhere.

:speaking_head: No harassment of any kind.

We won’t tolerate personal attacks on our community members. When we say no bullying, sexism, racism, or any other nasty type of ‘ism’, we mean it. We want everyone here to have a great experience.

:briefcase: Can you keep a secret?

We sure hope so, and so does the company you work for. Don’t share any intellectual property or other proprietary or confidential information from your own company or anyone else’s in the Community.

 Watch the potty mouth.

We’re all for being direct—that’s why ‘no sugar’ is one of our operating principles. We also encourage casual conversations, but this is still a professional environment. Save the swearing for another time and place.

:label: Ixnay on the icing-pra.

Have a healthy conversation around the industry and where it’s headed, for sure. But out of respect for the Community’s host, please refrain from discussing Gong’s pricing or making comparisons with Gong’s competitors.

:v: Speak kindly.

We welcome divergent and difficult conversations, even about controversial issues. Insults and condescension aren’t necessary. Let’s use our collective brain power to respectfully solve complex and interesting issues.

 Give credit where it’s due.

Stealing intellectual property is a major no-no. If you want to cite someone else and give them credit for something, be our guest. Just don’t pretend it’s your own work.

:no_mobile_phones: No doxing.

You get to publish your own contact info, and that’s it. Let others decide whether they want to put their info (email/phone/address/etc.) into the public realm.

:dancers: Connect in private, not public.

If you want to connect for a private convo, click on Private messages under My profile in the top right corner of the page.

:cooking: Spam, egg, spam, spam.

Rely on your own channels for selling. We’re here to exchange ideas, not product recommendations. Don’t spam people.

:pineapple: Stay on topic.

People are here because these topics interest them. Don’t derail them. Go elsewhere to talk about the history of roller coasters on the Eastern Seaboard.

 Keep ‘er short!

If your comments are longer than 400 words, we reserve the right to unleash our editor on your work.

:black_joker: No fake IDs.

Post as yourself, never as someone else, real or fictional.

:warning: Truth be told…

Gong reserves the right not to publicize information that is false or unsubstantiated.

:shirt: Don’t air dirty laundry.

If you have comments about Gong’s forums, content, or policies, connect with us via email at community@gong.io. We’ll welcome discussions that come through the right channels.

:x:There will be consequences. :rotating_light:

We will take action if you violate these guidelines. Depending on the violation, you may get a warning, or you may have privileges or accounts revoked. If you witness behavior that violates our guidelines, please report it to community@gong.io.
