Hi all,

I am looking to add gong to meetings that are sceduled via Microsoft bookings but struggling, has anyone found a workaround or solution to this?

Sadly, no solution @Ciaran Behan :( I’m just hanging back, really hoping Gong figures this out one day soon. We’ve been advised to create accounts for the MS Bookings “shadow” accounts, but there are infinite possibilities, so that’s hard to do.

We’ve spoken to MS and they’re not helpful - the fact that the meetings have the shadow account as the organizer and the invited staff member can’t edit to add the Gong note taker means there’s no solution.

@Ashley Collins … I’m not the only one!! haha

If you use consent page like us, I’m 99% sure it’s not possible :/ I already tried it but seems Chilipiper is the only one that actually works well with gong consent page

Can confirm what @Sebastián Honigsberg said above - the consent page is really restricting when you’re an MS house. We actually just went through an effort with our Legal team to remove the consent requirement as it caused our recordings to drop from ~78% to ~34% and we weren’t getting any calls. We still have the issue with Bookings though, and I don’t think there’s any way around it, even without the consent page.

Hi all! I’m investigating this for you — stay tuned, and thanks for your patience! @Leigh Oxley @Sebastián Honigsberg @Ciaran Behan

This is good to know because we will start using the ‘Consent Page’ with a subset of users. So we’ll see how this goes for us as well.

I will try them, thanks!

Any other suggestions out there?

@Molly Kipnis has there been any update to this topic?  I recently started using Gong and also use Microsoft Bookings in my email signature.  I have tried forwarding the Microsoft Bookings meetings to the Gong email address our company has, but the notetaker never joins the meeting.  Hoping there is some kind of workaround so I can continue to use my Booking page.  Thanks!

@Brooke This is what I now do.

I have removed the meeting link entirely so the invite intially get sent without one. I then manually in and add Gong to the meeting.

Hi everyone,

Here to confirm that currently, Gong does not have native integration with Microsoft Bookings, meaning meetings scheduled through Microsoft Bookings won’t automatically include Gong recording features or functionality. To echo some of what has already been mentioned above, here are a few alternative solutions:

  1. Manually Add Gong Assistant: After a meeting is scheduled through Microsoft Bookings, add Gong’s assistant email (assistant@gong.io) to the meeting invitation as a participant. While this method ensures Gong can record the meeting, some attendees have faced issues with Gong joining even after manually adding the assistant

  2. Use Microsoft Teams Integration: If Microsoft Bookings is configured to generate Microsoft Teams meetings, Gong integrates well with Teams. You can adjust settings to allow Gong Bots to join and record these meetings. However, permissions may need to be configured for Gong Bots to access Teams meetings correctly

  3. Add Additional Emails: If Gong isn’t recognizing meetings booked through particular domains related to Microsoft Bookings, adding these domains or email addresses as additional emails in the Gong user profile may solve the issue. This workaround has shown success in some cases

I also highly recommend sharing this as a feature request with our Product team, which you can do here. I hope this helps 🙂
