Hi,

I need to tag another member of my organization for feedback on a topic discussed on a call, but don’t know how to do it, can you please help?

Thanks,

Hi Karen,

Great question, this is one of my favorite things that Gong enables me to do!

The first thing you’ll want to do is get to the part of the call where you want to tag them.

Then you’ll want to select the comment icon in the top right corner:

When the comment pane slides out, you’ll notice that the timestamp below the comment field matches where you left the cursor in the call.

To tag your peer, simply use the @ symbol and then start typing their name

Once you’ve selected the correct person, completed your comment and posted it, they’ll be notified a few moments later, brought to that specific spot and can listen back to that portion of the call and reply inline which will notify you!

If the person you’re looking for isn’t there, you’ll want to contact one of your Gong Admins. A list of those people can be found by clicking on your name in the top right corner, clicking “My Settings” and then scrolling to the bottom of that page.

Let me know if this addressed your question!

@Karen Johnston hope that @Brandon James post answered your question!

I love this @Nisha Baxi and @Brandon James
We have a new use case for this feature.

Our CSM team is asking customers to share the pain points they had before using our tool (why they bought) and how we’re helping with that. They’d like to tag the Account Management team so this information could be leveraged to build out account plans and during renewals.

The issue we’re having is that our CS team is growing and Accounts are changing hands. If I’m tagged but then the account is no longer mine, the information could get lost.

Is it possible to tag the general CS team? And is it possible to link this to our Account in SFDC?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Jackie!

So glad you’re loving Gong and this workflow!

I’m happy to answer the specific questions at the end of your post if they are still relevant BUT I’m actually going to suggest a much better workflow to achieve the outcome you’re seeking here.

Coming very, very, very (did I mention very) soon is our Account Ask Me Anything functionality which presents the best opportunity for any CSM or AM to get up to speed on everything going on in an account based on all of the calls and emails and the information provided is linked to the source info so that you can dig for more details as needed. Here’s a LinkedIn post from our Head of Enterprise Sales showcasing how it can be used.

Keep your eyes peeled for this functionality and then make sure all of your teammates are taking advantage of it. To keep you and your team held over until then, enjoy this list of top questions we suggest for the Call Ask Anything functionality that’s already available to you.

Thanks so much @Brandon James. This may be a good solution. As is true with all of us in the tech world, I’m juggling one million priorities every day and will find it challenging to remember to keep checking in on when this functionality is available. I did just start following Gong on LI. Will it be announced there?

Excellent! Totally understand. Not on LinkedIn (although following Gong is a great idea, lots of fantastic content gets posted each week), but this page will be updated in the front half of next week with all of the January features. You will also see it when the button appears in the top right corner of the Account page screen once it goes live.

Thanks Brandon. I’m in Gong every day so I trust I’ll see it there. I’m very excited about this feature and have shared this with my colleagues. Great job GONG!
