Hello Community members,

Wanted to seek some advice on how to manage the score card updates in Opportunity. We are running short of fields in opportunity object in SFDC. As part of our scorecards updates from Gong to Salesforce we need 50-60 fields created in Salesforce. However we are not in the luxury of creating so many fields. Was wondering how others are handing this situation

Is there a way to push them to Gong Related Opportunity fields ?  or any other innovative Solution

Advice here is appreciated.

Hi Aravind!

If I understand you correctly it sounds like a SF Custom Object might work:

  • It is like a new table that links to your Opportunities.
  • Gong already uses this approach with 12 custom objects for conversation data.

---

How it works:

  • Create a new object called "Gong Scorecards"

  • Link it to Opportunities (parent-child relationship)

  • Add all 50-60 scorecard fields (not counting toward your Opportunity field limits)

What you'll see:
When you open an Opportunity, there's a "Related" section with a "Gong Scorecards" tab. Similar to how Gong Conversations appear now - click to see all scorecard details Access Gong Conversation in Salesforce.

Solution:

A custom object setup gives you all the scorecard data without hitting limits.

Would this work for your team?

Thanks @PeterBFerrigan . Appreciate your time to respond to my question. Can gong push/update data to a custom object in SF ? When we create scorecards in Gong can we update them into a custom object ?
