Hey all,

Wondering if anyone else is utilizing HubSpot Calling and is running into the following issue and may have found a solution?

In HubSpot Calling, the call initiator is always Speaker 1 (Stereo Left), so depending on outbound/inbound it is our company employee, or a prospect/customer respectively. The Gong telephony integration setting needs to be set for the company employee to be either Stereo Left or Right.

In our case we currently have it set to Stereo Left, and thus on all inbound calls, the roles on the transcripts are reversed, i.e. the transcript says our employee is speaking, but it’s actually the customer. This messes up all the call statistics of talk ratio, patience, etc. as well as trackers that are set to only track mentions by prospects.

No solution currently seems to exists from Gong or HubSpot support.

Just an update in case anyone else runs into the issue that Gong Support Engineers were able to fix the root cause on the backend, so now all caller roles are coming through correct (even though the front end integration setting still looks the same).
