How do you manage permissions within teams so we know who can do what?

We have different teams within our company and it seems everyone’s permissions are different so if someone wants to search for a call some see it and some do not...also some can access and some cannot ...how do companies avoid team members wasting time trying to ask for permissions or knowing who can do what?

Hi! So sorry that you’re having a frustrating experience navigating visibility and permissions within the platform.

Gong offers organizations a handful of options of how access and call visibility is controlled and the best folks to get clarity on that are your Technical Administrators. If you click on your name in the top right corner of Gong and then choose “My Settings” and then scroll to the bottom of that page, you will see who the Tech Admins are and can reach out to one of them to get a better understanding of how visibility permissions are set and advocate for any changes you’d like to see in order to improve information accessibility.

My hope is that once all users are more aware of how access is determined, there will be less confusion and time poorly spent seeking out call access.

As a related quick tip, remember that anyone tagged ( @ mentioned) in a comment on a call has access to that call, regardless of the default visibility permissions so this is an easy way to ensure that any particular call you may encounter and want to share with others can indeed be accessed by them.
