Deal Board for Renewals

Working on Deal Boards for our CS organization and running into issues because Deal Boards can only be filtered by Close Date. We review Renewal Opportunities based on Start Date.

Would love to hear if your organization books/recognizes GRR and renewal by close date or start date and how you have your deal boards set up.

@Amanda Eckstein, you can import the Start Date field into Gong (Settings / Salesforce Settings / Manage Fields), and once the data syncs, you can use it to filter the deal board.

@Eran Aloni Thanks Eran. I tried doing that but I couldn’t use the Start Date as a filter in the deal board. I reached out to your support team and this is what they shared with me:

Overall, this is due to a current limitation of the platform and the fact that text fields (which the date field falls under) cannot currently be used as filters.
