Just tagged you in @Lex Faughnan’s post about this same topic with some fellow Visioneers for advice!
@Ke Feng I’m in the same boat as you! Our marketing team is looking for ROI on the content they are creating and usage data. I’ve had some luck with the “words in title” and having that go into a stream then review the snippets for context but that’s it. Would looooooove to be able to report on # of minutes a specific slide is used and is slide tracking can be done with metadata i.e. tagging it or using white text that it picks up. Needs this as a feature request!
@Lex Faughnan Def recommend submitting this as a feature request if you haven’t yet! Your feedback will get routed directly to our team.
You can do that on the right-hand side of this page: https://visioneers.gong.io/product-updates

Hi Lex,
Do you have any suggestions for reliably tracking the “words in title” across slides? I’ve noticed it’s inconsistent—sometimes it captures the slide title, and other times it doesn’t.
I tried locking the titles in the master slides, but that didn’t seem to help.
Curious if you’ve found a more stable approach on your end?
Ke
@Ke Feng We have the same issue if the team changes the slide titles it doesn’t work. I’d submit a Support ticket on a call where it’s not accurately picking up the slide usage. The only other trick I’ve done is depending on our slide titles reduced it down to 2 works vs say 5.
@Lex Faughnan
Thanks, Lex!
Just to clarify—there haven’t been any changes to the slide titles. It’s the same deck, but in Test 1, the title was partially captured, while in Test 2, it wasn’t captured at all. Both tests had the slide presented for over 20 seconds.
From what I understand, “slide title” tracking isn’t a formal feature in Gong. It seems to pick up titles inconsistently—sometimes by chance—but there doesn’t appear to be a stable or reliable tracking method in place.
Have you heard similar feedback from your Gong reps?
@Ke Feng shoot, that’s frustrating. I haven’t had that happen on my end, I do use “” around the specific phrase within the title we’re tracking and also include several within one Stream and it works fine.
I’d submit a Support ticket and see if their team can look into it further though.
@Lex Faughnan Thank you so much Lex, I will submit a support ticket.
One more question, are you using Google Slides or PowerPoint? We are using PPT, and I was told that Google Slide tracks better.
@Ke Feng we are using Google slides!
