What do you do every morning to set yourself up for success?

This year, one of my goals is to establish a more consistent morning routine. Now that I have a new puppy, I've had to shift my routine a bit to make sure that she and I are both taken care of before I start work in the morning!

One thing I've been trying to do more of in the mornings is practice gratitude. I recently bought the Five Minute Journal and have been writing down three things that I'm grateful for and a couple of daily affirmations to help positively shape my day.

What is your morning routine? What are the things you do in the AM that help you get ready for the day? ☀️

I'll kick things off! This is what my current morning routine looks like.

  1. 6:30 AM: Wake up and let the puppy outside

  2. 7:00 AM: Make breakfast/feed the puppy/write in my journal (Does anyone else eat the same thing for breakfast every morning? I almost always eat yogurt + granola + fruit.)

  3. 7:30 AM: Get ready for the day (shower, sunscreen, etc.)

  4. 8:00 AM: Walk the dog! I like to do longer walks in the morning so that she's tired out by the time I have to crate her

  5. 8:45 AM: Log on to work and crate the puppy so she can nap and relax until lunchtime

This morning, I tried doing a Peloton ride instead of a walk with the dog. I don't think that plan will work for either of us going forward. 😆
