Hi! New Gong user, I have some sales teams looking to report on their “main contacts”we currently have a forecasting dashboard set up where they can see contacts and the activities associated with them on on opportunity level however they may not be on an opportunity yet which is where I’m struggling. Does anyone know if there is a way to report just on contacts? Thanks!

@Katelyn Verrocchio

You’re right that the forecast dashboard is opp-based, so it’ll miss people who aren’t tied to an opportunity yet.

You can report just on contacts though — the easiest way is to do it in your CRM (like Salesforce) using Gong data:

  • Step 1: In Salesforce, go to Reports → All Folders → Gong Reports.

  • Step 2: Clone a contact-focused report (or create a new Contacts report) that uses Gong activity fields (emails, calls, etc.).

  • Step 3: Add filters for what you consider a “main contact” (e.g., by account, owner, or “last activity in the past 30 days”).

  • Step 4: Save it as a dashboard component so your teams can see top/main contacts even before there’s an opportunity.

That gives you a clean, contact-level view with activity, separate from the opp-based forecast dashboard.
