Update the Connected Salesforce User for the Data Synch

Forum|alt.badge.img

Greetings,

I would like to know if it's possible and if there is any kind of procedure about the update of the Salesforce User currently logged in Gong which is uses for the Data Synch.

We would like to change it with another Salesforce User (we have a specific data integration user) and if this kind of change may bring a data error or missing between the user change.

Regards

Sergio

Correct. You can simply disconnect and re-connect with the other user. Just pay attention to making sure that the new integration user has the same permissions as the current one! @Sergio Lama

Hi Sergio!

The integration user is the user who authenticated when connecting Gong <> Salesforce.
To switch the integration user, simply disconnect the integration between Gong<>SFDC and reconnect it with the integration user you want.

Pro-tip - make sure the new integration user has at least the same permissions that the previous one had, otherwise some procedures might stop working due to Gong stop having the permissions.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any follow up questions 🙂

Hi Molly,

thank you very much for the answer.

So, just to confirm, when I change the integration user there will not be any kind of missing data? Like the fields that we synched from SFDC to GONG? (For example, we synched an SFDC Field where we got the AVG ACV of the Opportunity and we use that field in Gong Forecast).

Regards

Sergio
