Making Accounts in Gong Private based on CRM Account Teams

Hi Gong Community! I recently connected my CRM (Salesforce) to Gong, however I am running into an issue where all Accounts are showing up for every user in gong. In the CRM we configured Accounts to be Private, and use Account Teams to define who has visibility to certain accounts.

I have already enabled the “Import Opportunity Team” option in the connection Import Settings tab, however this does not seem to address the issue.

Does anyone know a way to make Accounts in Gong Engage only visible to users who are members of the Account Team?

It looks like Engage doesn’t yet have a generally available way to fully hide accounts based on Salesforce Account Teams (only standard ownership-based assignment is supported today), though a new permissions model with an “Assigned accounts” option derived from Account Owner + Account Team is in beta; until that’s GA, the closest workaround is to use CRM assignment/user-reference fields to filter views rather than enforce true account-level visibility restrictions.

Gong Engage allows users to filter and view accounts based on CRM assignments and account assignees.
• Users can filter accounts by the 'Account assignee' field to see only the accounts assigned to specific team members.
• Multiple teammates might see the same account if they are assigned to it in the CRM.
• If users are not seeing accounts they think they should, they should talk to their admin to check the CRM assignment setup.
• Advanced filtering options are available to see only the accounts that match certain criteria.
• Saved filters can be created and shared with team members for easy access to specific account lists.
• Users can update CRM fields and review account activity directly within Gong Engage.
