Viewing SFDC data in Gong

Hey all!

I see that I am able to search accounts and see activity history in Gong (provided via SFDC) but I am not seeing any Gong documentation on these features. Would love to see some!

When you mention activity history, I imagine you’re referring to the calls and emails displayed across the timeline and available to search across and dive into? If so, that information isn’t coming from Salesforce but rather directly into Gong. Gong captures the web conferences, integrates with dialer systems and connects directly to the email server in order to ingest and analyze all of these pieces of communication. To better understand how activities are associated to deals/accounts, please see this article on our association algorithm and this one on mapping conversations to CRM objects. 

 

Finally, this article and its neighboring articles will give you a good sense of how the SFDC integration works in general and the fields that Gong can and does access.
