Transcript Search API

Our API allows access to Call Transcripts via endpoint /v2/calls/transcript.

In response here, you can expect a list of sentences including start and end time in milliseconds along with a text string containing the sentence spoken. Once ingested, a transcript may be queried as a function of your solution.

@BridgetFinegan thanks for the response! Is there a plan to support a search API that allows us to send a text query and get back transcripts that include the text query? This would be critical for our use case since we don’t index any transcripts.

@Prasad Kawthekar Gong Data Cloud now includes Transcripts, so if you use Snowflake with some work you could implement a transcript search

@Andrew O'Driscoll since customers may not want us to index all their transcripts, an ideal API for us is one that allows us to run a search on a need-know basis depending on the customer’s query. This API would work similar to the internal search transcripts API that’s accessible from the search box in the Gong app: https://share.cleanshot.com/4VKVh9Qw. Is this something that could be supported? This would be a huge unlock for customers that are using both Gong and dashworks.ai.

@Prasad Kawthekar the context helps, and its a good idea. I don’t work for Gong, but I can confirm that there is no search transcript API. The only solution other than the Gong Data Cloud that I can think of is creating an Automation Rule / scheduled job that indexes a subset of transcripts based on some established rules. But net net you are on your own to implement it. 

@BridgetFinegan @Molly Kipnis is this something that on’s the near term roadmap for Gong? Would love to have support for this!
