How many records can we upload to CRM Objects API

I am using Upload CRM objects (/v2/crm/entities) to Upload Accounts & Contacts data. For that i need to create a LDJSON file.1) Need help in creating this LDJSON file. what should the extension of this file be? ndjson??. If possible can i get an example of how LDJSON looks 2) In Accounts & Contact entities, “objectId” & “modifiedDate” are mandatory fields. Users must create the objectid? how does gong identify whether a record is being updated or newly added. Also how to avoid users giving wrong “modifiedDate” 3)let's say i have 10000+ records to upload to “Contact”. can upload multiple dataFile of size 200MB each? or what is the approach you suggest?

What are objectsCrmIds in CRM API

1) I am trying to use the Get CRM objects (/v2/crm/entities) API. What is objectCrmsIds? and how do i find them. I am uploading a Contact CRM. “objectId” here is “objectCrmsIds” ?? After uploading Contact/Account CRM. where can i view these details in Gong UI? I assume “objectId” is record id. why GONG internally doesn’t assign a unique objectID? why should a user provide a unique id(ObjectId) when uploading data via CRM API?

Text expansion snippets and copying and pasting stopped working

I use Raycast for text expansion snippets in a number of applications, including when noting my tasks in Gong Engage (for clarity, these are not related to anything Gong calls snippets). One day a coworker said he can no longer copy and paste things from Salesforce to Gong. I checked and I cannot either. However, I can copy and paste it into a text file and then copy and paste it into Gong. My text expansion snippets from Raycast also stopped working in Gong, although they still work in Salesforce and every other application. Being that the issues are only in the Gong windows (either the Gong Engage page or the Gong Sidebar) and no other applications, and being that it also began on the same day for a coworker who is also on a macbook air but in a separate location, I have to assume the issue comes from a change in Gong. Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution? Thank you. Edit: Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I couldn’t find a troubleshooting area. update: another c

Fetching all calls associated with a CRM deal through the API?

Hi, We have a use case where have the ID of a deal/opportunity from Salesforce/Hubspot, and need to fetch all associated calls. The manual-associations endpoint does not seem to work for us since it only returns calls that were manually associated in the UI The way we are trying is using calls/extensive and fetching all calls with pagination prior to the deal close date and checking if the party emails match any of the contact emails. Is there a better way to do this? It would be great if through the API you could filter based on Hubspot Deal ID or Salesforce Opp ID

Crm API uploading accounts

Hi there! I’ve been tasked with integrating our Zoho CRM with Gong to make the most of the account link feature. Using the documentation, I’ve successfully uploaded an Account entity via Postman using an LDJson file. When I check the request status via GET /v2/crm/requeststatus using my request ID, I get a response of "totalSuccessCount": 1. However, I can’t see the account in the Gong UI. Additionally, when I make the following API call: GET https://api.gong.io/v2/crm/entities?integrationId=XXXXXX&objectType=ACCOUNT and pass in the same objectID used in the LDJson file, the response contains a null object. Questions: Are there any configuration steps I might have missed that could prevent the account from appearing in the Gong UI? Are there debugging methods or logs available to trace why the account isn't visible? Is there a delay between a successful upload and when the account appears in the UI? Does Gong require any specific fields or data structures in the LDJson that could impac

Can't get approval for Developer Account

I am writing this for help because my Gong Developer Account is not being approved or denied (processed). Me and my co-founder have filed applications but have heard nothing back from Gong. Could someone please help with this.

Subscribe to transcripts via API?

Hello Gong! We’d like to develop an integration with Gong that would allow us to fact check transcripts against our product documentation library via our product, LemonadeLXP. For this, we’d need to be notified that a new transcript is available after the call concludes. Is there a webhook available so that we can subscribe to call events? Polling, conversely, would seem ‘expensive’. In the end, we want something similar to what the Slack integration does; save that rather for posting to Slack as the call concludes, we want it on our web hooks so that we can process. They don’t poll, do they? Thank you! Alex

Icons Next to Activity Have Reversed

It seems with a recent update the purple icon that would show as activity when you call or email a prospect has now changed to red and the red icon that would show when the prospect would respond or interact with your activity is now purple. Did anyone else see this swap occur? I feel the red was a good alert to show when there was interactivity happened and would draw my attention, now I am just drawn to a bunch of my own stuff.

Embedding Gong Calls into Customer Facing Webpages

We’d like to embed a call Gong in a webpage that we share with the prospect. We tried to use https://help.gong.io/v1/docs/embed-a-call-in-third-party-software#copy-the-url-oembed But it doesnt seem to be working. Any tips?

API - handling data updates in Gong

Hi! When using the Gong API to sync data out of Gong, is there some standard pattern for keeping data up to date? In the documentation I see webhook rules which only can send webhooks after a call is processed and retrieving calls by date range which doesn’t support polling by updated times. Is there some other approach to syncing data that I’ve missed, or is the usual pattern just getting the Gong call data once it’s done processing, and not expect any changes otherwise? Thanks for any insight!

Retrieve calls from API with presentation shared in it

Hi, I’m trying to retrieve calls from Gong’s API filtering on the ones where a specific slide was presented. I see the interface in Gong has a filter for keywords in slides but I don’t see any filter in the API. Is it not available in the API or I’m not looking right? Thanks!

Gong API pagination limit

Hi There, I am trying to get all list of users/calls/transcripts with api.gong.io endpoints and most of these calls only returns 100 items out of the total records example: "records": { "totalRecords": 220, "currentPageSize": 100, "currentPageNumber": 0, I am trying to get all the records but so far none of my methods seems to be working. I tried to go to Gong documentation and it gives me error 500. Any helps would be appreciated!

Adding license/ user type to the Users API endpoints

There is nothing in the various “Users” API endpoints that can tell if a given user has a paid seat (Gong Professional, Forecast, Engage) or not. This would be useful for integrations where you need to know more about the user than the current API gives. The settings array gives a good indicator if someone is paid or not, since any value if true indicates a paid seat, but it does not tell you if all the values are false if the user is paid or not. Is there a way to pull in account activity from the deal board?

We are building an app for our customers who use Gong and Salesforce. We would like to use the API to pull in activity associated (calls, emails, etc.) with an account, like the activity you seen in the activity timeline for an account in the deal board. Does anyone know if this is possible to do?

Transcript Search API

Hi Gong team, thanks for the great work on the API. Is there a plan to support full-text search of call recording transcripts via the API? This is a requirement for us to be able to build an integration with Gong.

v2/calls query example

I’m having difficulty applying a filter to the v2/calls endpoint the filter i have constructed looks like this {"filters":[{"fromDateTime":"2023-12-15T14:20-6:00","toDateTime":"2023-12-15T15:25-6:00"}]} The results I get seems to ignore that filter completely I an sending a get. Thanks In advance.

Keep getting "invalid_grant" for API calls

Our customers can connect their Gong to our platform 0 inorder to fetch meeting and recording information and show it to their customers. From time to time, some of the integrations stop working and we start getting "invalid_grant" in the response. Most of the integrations keep going for long time, while others are suffering from this issue.Any ideas what we should do to solve it?

I’m trying to use Zapier to push CRM data to Gong using the API. It requires a POST using multipart/form-data Content Type. How do I format a Zapier webhook POST to make this work? I keep getting “dataFile part is missing (HTTP Status Code: 400)” Here’s what I’m sending in Data:
