Hello Program Managers – welcome to the Gong Community! As we talked about back in the Academy, being Gong certified means that you’ll visit the Community regularly to connect with other Gong users, help answer questions about Gong, learn from each other, and share your own ideas and best practices. 

 

Another awesome aspect about the Community is that it connects you and other Gong customers directly with Gongsters (i.e., the folks who work at Gong). We pop in all the time to share news, answer questions, provide tips and tricks, and participate in the conversations our customers are having.  

 

To that end, your first assignment for your Launch Certification is to answer at least one of the following questions:

Hello all!

I am excited to be moving through the Gong certification program. My company onboarded Gong before I arrived on the scene, but I’ve been asked to take over as the main POC/administrator for our Marketing and Sales teams. My goal in taking the full course is to walk away with a comprehensive understanding of the system so I can confidently build out process and libraries both strategically and quickly.

What is your goal in becoming Launch Certified? 

 

As a CSM at Gong, my main focus is in helping customers post launch and implementation realize their business goals and make impact within their revenue teams. However, the ability to push the needle in their business with Gong starts with a solid launch and implementation. I’m hoping to leverage the knowledge from this certification as a piece of the strategy I use to inform customers on how we can crush their business priorities together!

I want to really learn all the facets, workflows and feature sets that can help customers achieve success. If I can understand it and complete, I can better help Gong customers do the same.

My goal is to achieve a thorough understand of the PM mind in regards to Gong and honestly it will give me a structured learning with a targeted achievement. 

One takeaway is to have my eyes open to how there are multiple other ways of thinking about value from the platform. Typically we only see a handful of ways to use something, I want to experience other ways to do things, enabling better conversations with everyone I talk to about Gong.

As a CSM, I get the privilege of partnering with many organizations and with that comes a diverse spread of individuals at each organization.  With the PM Certification under my belt, I will better be able to partner with my PMs and support them by gaining a better understanding of their role. Also, I rarely recommend something to my customers if I haven’t done it myself.   I want all of my PMs to get certified, so I need to do it first!

It's all about smooth enablement and proving value. Though having implemented Gong for one team already, we have more teams and more power users getting on board, so need to make sure if this certification is something that will streamline our approach for the best end result.

I would love to be the main point of contact in regards to any issues related to Gong. I want to learn how to do proper troubleshooting before creating ticket with the support team.
