Getting from data to insights quickly - Gong Data Cloud + Snowflake meetup recap

 @Or Farber , Senior Product Manager Analytics at Gong, presented a comprehensive and exciting vision for the Gong Data Cloud, an exciting new offering that gives customers a unified data model to utilize Gong data to its full potential and get from data to insights quickly. As a Gong partner that works with so many Gong customers' data, I’m excited about the data acquisition time and cost savings the Gong Data Cloud will provide. Remember when you first saw Gong and looking for reporting?

Hello world,I’m very new to Gong and there’s a lot of interest from leadership. I’m wondering if anyone can give me a couple quick wins on running any reporting that would be presentable to c-level. (We’re still waiting on initiative dashboards and such) I want to provide some baseline for our new journey into the world of Gong. :)Thanks,

Time to generate Call Spotlight for recordings?

Hi there,I’m trying to use the API to capture the Call Spotlight information (Call Brief, Next Steps, etc) when a call recording is ready using the Gong API (specifically the /v2/calls/extensive endpoint) so I can bring that information into our CRM.It worked well when I was backdating for prior calls, but when I’m triggering the automation off of a recording it seems the spotlight information isn’t ready yet - sometimes taking 3+ hours before I’m able to run the call successfully.Is there a way to trigger the system to generate the spotlight when I need it outside of accessing the call recording manually, or a consistent time I can use to wait before attempting to access the spotlight data so I can avoid wasting API calls?Thanks!

Talk ratio in comparison to win/loss record

Hi,I am wondering if you are able to find a spot within Gong where I would be able to see what the ideal talk ratio is for my team. I want more in depth results than what is reported in the insight > interaction page. I would like to see each of my account executives, the talk ratio for each call, and whether or not it won or lost.Let me know if anyone else is looking for this data and if there is a solution.

Multi-Thread Win Rate Data

The image below shows the effect multi-threading has on winning new business deals:  This screenshot is pulled from a Multi-Threading YouTube video that referenced a Gong study.  Is there a way we can run an analysis like this for our internal team based on OUR data? Want to know how much effect multi-threading has on our deals.  We currently have the Gong for Salesforce package installed. I'm guessing we would maybe need to utilize a business intelligence platform like Snowflake. Curious what the Community’s thoughts are. Would really like to see the correlation between the win rate and number of unique participants on calls/emails.

Call type

Hi Community!Has anyone successfully implemented a way to categorise a call. It would be great to differentiate between a discovery call, demonstration etc. etc. and the only way I think it’s doable is through the comment #hashtag but Ideally I want to see this differently on the deal activity.Any ideas?

In this month’s meetup we discussed creative ways to measure team/ rep efficiency and productivity using Gong data. We were joined by Gongsters and Gong practitioners @Sunny Huang and Corey Fineman, who Gong entrusts to uncover insight using Gong data.   It was a timely day to talk about “how to measure” given today’s Gong Insights announcement. Folks, Our license is set to expire in another 10days & we need to download around 3000+ recorded calls with transcripts. Is there any API to download the calls fed in the call IDs which I can get from https://api.gong.io/v2/calls/?

Getting The Gong Experience In Salesforce - March 8th Data In Gong Meetup Recap

New to Gong for Salesforce?Already using it and want to take it to the next level?  Watch a recording of @Shif Arad and Dor Sened, two names synonymous with Gong for Salesforce, lead us through a very informative session on Gong for Salesforce. I know Gong and Salesforce pretty well and I walked away with a lot of new information and tips.  HIGHLIGHTS:  Data Enrichment:How many times have you wanted to add contacts that Gong automatically captures, through its visibility to meetings and emails, to Salesforce? Wait no more! People were very excited to learn about the Salesforce data enrichment opportunities using Gong participant data and Salesforce flow. Reporting in Customer Success

Hi Gong Community, and especially Customer Success (Enablement) folks!I’m looking to use Gong for reporting about our activities within Customer Success. We have now launched the following aspects:Topics for Customer Success Trackers for Customer Success Smart Trackers for Customer SuccessThe next step is to leverage this information for internal reporting, within the team, for our team leads and for the stakeholders above. I am curious to get inspired on what you do to create transparency!What information do you report on regularly within the 1:1s you have, the team meetings, your leads and leads’ leads? How do you check how your customer calls impact pipeline? Do you follow call naming conventions to analyse certain types of calls? Do you leverage CRM information to build certain reports, track campaigns or topic performance? In Customer Success, we are not the primary account owners, which can complicate things.  I am excited to hear from you, and happy to also have a chat about it

Data In Gong Meetup Recap: Closed lost/ won analysis

Thanks to everyone that attended today’s Community Meetup focused on making the most of your data in Gong. We were pleased to see a number of Gong employees from the Product Analytics Team and Value Engineering team. Call associations en masse

After a recent migration from Chorus, I have a large swath of calls that are not associated with an account.  Any tips for going about this association process?  Reports to get organized?  Ways of easily doing large numbers of associations (vs clicking into each call and manually associating?) Thanks to you all!

Question Rate Metric

Hi All,Has anyone figured out a way to block the question rate metric in Gong from counting phrases like “do you have any questions?” or “how’s the weather by you?”. It’s an important metric and I’d love to get as close to a real number as possible.Thanks!Courtney

Drive Insight Using Out Of The Box Gong Features Meetup - Recap

 Thanks to everyone that attended, contributed and played Jeopardy! during last week’s meetup. Yes, we had a lot of fun playing Jeopardy! If you missed the meetup you can access it here. Our meetup was focused on up-leveling your insight in Gong without ever leaving Gong, using:  Win/Loss  Market Insights Call Categories  Smart Trackers (new!) Deals Initiatives (new feature!) Deal Drivers   Takeaways: The launch of so many Insights in addition to long standing favorites like Win/Loss, diminishes the need to export data to spreadsheets or a BI tool. People, especially those that are new to Gong, are not 100% aware of all the available Insights. This was especially true for Whisper for Topics. Call To Action:Play along and listen to the call.
