Hello world! My team is interested in using applied data / decision science to derive more value from Gong. For us, the starting point is understanding how adherence to a repeatable / prescribed sales process relates to different business outcomes.Where are other folks in the community finding success using applied data / decision science with data from Gong?

As a CSM here at Gong, the first place I suggest my customers start is Trackers. For GAP Selling, I suggest breaking your Trackers into 6 pieces: Current State, Problem, Root Cause, Emotion, Future State, and Solution. If your team notices a widespread issue, check the status page to see if it’s a system-wide issue at Gong. We keep this page up to date with ongoing outages. You can also select “Subscribe to updates” at the top to get notifications when an outage occurs.

We record calls using predominantly Zoom, but also Google Meet. Is there a way for reps to take notes during calls and to push these into HubSpot?  To add another layer, if that call is a Discovery call can reps take notes in accordance to MEDDPICC? Looking for a smart way to get all that into HubSpot. Thanks

For some reason, the recording kept going for another 40 minutes after my presentation and call ended. I know I can send a snippet to other people but is there a way to delete that extra 40 minutes of the recording?

Wanted to see if there are any recommendations for telephony systems that integrate with Gong. Specifically, I am looking for a system that would Integrate with Salesforce Track outbound and inbound calls and texts Be a separate number per repI know I am asking for a unicorn here, but thought I’d ask to see if the community has any recommendations. 

Hello fellow Gong Community! 👋 My organization is interested in tracking whether our reps enforce and follow a specific process / agenda during their calls, or if they let the customer/prospect drive the conversation. We want to approve or disprove the theory that reps that follow a consistent process within their calls have a higher rate of closing deals.  Examples of Process:Discovery Call: Start by setting the agenda, then ask discovery questions to understand the Situation and Pain and Impact, then conclude by understanding any Critical Events and the Decision Process (SPICED framework 😉).  Demo: Start by setting an agenda, then show the slide deck and present the product, then answer questions, then gather feedback and set next steps. The Win / Loss analysis within the Deals page doesn’t show any insights specifically around this, so I’m curious if anyone else has found a way to measure this using Gong data?  Thanks in advance! 😊

Is there a way I can share an ongoing call, like a weekly team meeting for someone that does not attend regularly without having to go in and share it manually every time?

If you’re an admin, you can leverage the Call Status report to: View how many calls were recorded, skipped, or canceled (and the reason for it!) in a given time frame Track which team calls are recorded as expected, and see if any calls are being missed due to a training or technical issue For more info, check out this help article.

Hello Gong Community, Is there a way for me to set a listening goal for my team in Gong.  I am hoping to set:A team goal that automates based on team members listening to peer Gong calls Individual goals.  I’d like to set a monthly/weekly listening goal for my team that automates when then listen to a call.  There is currently a ‘calls listened to’ chart in “TEAM’/’GONG USAGE’.  I’d like to see that chart show team members that have achieved their goals for the month.Thanks,

If you’d like to share only a portion of a customer call, you can share a snippet by selecting “Share Call” at the top right of the call page > Share with customers > Share a snippet of the call.For more info, check out this help article.

If you notice that a speaker track in Gong belongs to “Phone Caller #1” instead of the user’s name, ask the user if they provided consent for voice identification.You can find more info here.

We have different teams within our company and it seems everyone’s permissions are different so if someone wants to search for a call some see it and some do not...also some can access and some cannot ...how do companies avoid team members wasting time trying to ask for permissions or knowing who can do what?

Is it possible to have one manager be a leader for two different teams? I want to see their statistics separately on the call interaction stats. I have one manager managing SDRs and AEs and need to report on them separately. 

I would like to select a regional team and view all customer meetings as a shared calendar.This would help with researchers/stakeholders joining who may not yet be invited. When I subscribe to users calendars in Google Calendar I can see all meetings.I would like to have a calendar that shows me only meetings that the Notetaker is also joining. .ics file or url would suffice.

If dialer calls import for everyone on your team except one or two users, check to make sure that their first/last names and emails match in Gong and your telephony system.

On the Team Stats screen, what changes when you flip the “Include all call data” switch? In other words, what additional data is included that wasn’t included before?

If you notice that an internal call was recorded when it shouldn’t have been, double check the calendar event to see if any participants used an external email domain (e.g., a personal email address). If they did, that explains things! Gong equates external email addresses with external meetings, and automatically records those calls.

Is there a capability with Gong to send alerts or an email whenever a keyword is heard in a gong call?

Hi all, we are having an issue with our MS Teams integration with GONG. As MS Teams does not provide a personalized link for users and creates a new meeting link every meeting we needed to use a workaround.  The Setup:We created a meeting in Outlook and copied this meeting link into the personalized GONG link section (that was the suggestion in our onboarding) The Problem: The participants of the meeting “stay” connected to the meeting and receive all the future chat messages FROM OTHER CUSTOMER MEETINGS, if we don't manually throw them out of the meeting. → HUGE security/compliance issue.  Do you guys also experience this issue with the MS Teams integration?How do you use GONG in combination with MS Teams so this doesn’t occur?Looking forward to your feedback. BestMichael
