We use Gong with HubSpot. Often times when reviewing the No Activity (no comms within 14 days) column within Drivers, the rep had actually spoken to the prospect within the past few days. It appears the discrepancy almost always occurs when there are multiple product lines we sell, and a different rep might be speaking with someone else at that same company based on a different deal. There might be no way around that, but I’d love to figure out getting those percentages to be as accurate as possible. i.e. Product rep will show 12% of deals have no activity within 14 days, but every one of those deals does have comms within that time frame.Anyone have some best practices on ensuring accuracy?
Hello community, I’m curious to learn how different Gong users have approached the questions of measuring a Saas Account Executive’s overall activity? Is there a good an easy way to do it which would correlate with actual sales performance? Thank you!Heikki
To whom it may concern: My team would like to export all of our Gong recordings before our contract and licenses expire, however - considering how large video files typically are - I’d imagine we have TBs and TBs worth of video files and none of us have the ability to download these and save them locally. That said, is there a way to export all of our recordings directly to our company Google Drive? At least this way we can spare ourselves the headache of trying to download these, save them locally (if we have space), and then upload them to Google Drive. Thanks,Tim
@Or Farber , Senior Product Manager Analytics at Gong, presented a comprehensive and exciting vision for the Gong Data Cloud, an exciting new offering that gives customers a unified data model to utilize Gong data to its full potential and get from data to insights quickly. As a Gong partner that works with so many Gong customers' data, I’m excited about the data acquisition time and cost savings the Gong Data Cloud will provide. So often we all find the data acquisition and preparation time takes away from valuable data analysis time. Highlights: Without the Gong Data Cloud, there are various options, each their pros and cons, to extract Gong data including/: CSV (easy but manual, partial data) API (technical, partial data) Gong for Salesforce (automated, out of the box reports, partial data) Export data to HubSpot (automated, partial data) Gong Data Cloud is the answer! Hello world,I’m very new to Gong and there’s a lot of interest from leadership. I’m wondering if anyone can give me a couple quick wins on running any reporting that would be presentable to c-level. (We’re still waiting on initiative dashboards and such) I want to provide some baseline for our new journey into the world of Gong. :)Thanks,
Hi there,I’m trying to use the API to capture the Call Spotlight information (Call Brief, Next Steps, etc) when a call recording is ready using the Gong API (specifically the /v2/calls/extensive endpoint) so I can bring that information into our CRM.It worked well when I was backdating for prior calls, but when I’m triggering the automation off of a recording it seems the spotlight information isn’t ready yet - sometimes taking 3+ hours before I’m able to run the call successfully. Is there a way to trigger the system to generate the spotlight when I need it outside of accessing the call recording manually, or a consistent time I can use to wait before attempting to access the spotlight data so I can avoid wasting API calls? Thanks!
Hi,I am wondering if you are able to find a spot within Gong where I would be able to see what the ideal talk ratio is for my team. I want more in depth results than what is reported in the insight > interaction page. I would like to see each of my account executives, the talk ratio for each call, and whether or not it won or lost.Let me know if anyone else is looking for this data and if there is a solution.

The image below shows the effect multi-threading has on winning new business deals: This screenshot is pulled from a Multi-Threading YouTube video that referenced a Gong study. Is there a way we can run an analysis like this for our internal team based on OUR data? Want to know how much effect multi-threading has on our deals. We currently have the Gong for Salesforce package installed. I'm guessing we would maybe need to utilize a business intelligence platform like Snowflake. Curious what the Community’s thoughts are. Would really like to see the correlation between the win rate and number of unique participants on calls/emails.
Hi Community!Has anyone successfully implemented a way to categorise a call. It would be great to differentiate between a discovery call, demonstration etc. etc. and the only way I think it’s doable is through the comment #hashtag but Ideally I want to see this differently on the deal activity.Any ideas?
In this month’s meetup we discussed creative ways to measure team/ rep efficiency and productivity using Gong data. We were joined by Gongsters and Gong practitioners @Sunny Huang and Corey Fineman, who Gong entrusts to uncover insight using Gong data. It was a timely day to talk about “how to measure” given today’s Gong Insights announcement. Corey and Sunny showed the visually appealing result of taking calls and email activity for their customer-facing teams to answer questions like: Ensuring that your highest ARR accounts are being resourced properly. Identifying the rock stars who are “doing more with less” and replicate them Understanding rep efficiency by visualizing revenue closed/rep against time spent with customersIt was a great example of how you unleash a BI tool on basic Gong building block data and see tremendous insight. Viewer Warning! This meetup talks about advanced topics! You will see Gong data (calls and emails) shared with a data tool (Snowflake) and used by
How do you know if you’re actually doing more with less? Register for this month’s meetup, where I will partner with the Gong team to share how you can leverage your Gong data to: Stay on top of team productivity.Get a real view of activity across all calls and emails for your customer-facing teams. Understand rep efficiency by visualizing revenue closed / rep against time spent with customers.Identify the rockstars of “doing more with less,” and replicate them Optimize allocation of reps / resources to accounts. Ensure that your highest ARR accounts are resourced properly. We’ll look at both native Gong features, such as the Insights tab, and some interesting Tableau dashboards built from Gong data in Salesforce by the Gong Value Engineering team. Here is an example to get excited about: This visual, and more that we will show you, help you understand if reps are truly “doing more with less,” and the revenue re-captured if you were able to: Identify and replicate your “Doing more
Folks, Our license is set to expire in another 10days & we need to download around 3000+ recorded calls with transcripts. Is there any API to download the calls fed in the call IDs which I can get from https://api.gong.io/v2/calls/?
New to Gong for Salesforce?Already using it and want to take it to the next level? Watch a recording of @Shif Arad and Dor Sened, two names synonymous with Gong for Salesforce, lead us through a very informative session on Gong for Salesforce. I know Gong and Salesforce pretty well and I walked away with a lot of new information and tips. HIGHLIGHTS: Data Enrichment:How many times have you wanted to add contacts that Gong automatically captures, through its visibility to meetings and emails, to Salesforce? Wait no more! People were very excited to learn about the Salesforce data enrichment opportunities using Gong participant data and Salesforce flow. I liked in particular that Gong for Salesforce comes with out of the box Flows that you customize for your company. So you can update/ create Participant Contact Roles, Competitors, and enrich Contacts and Leads. Push Emails (and Calls) to SalesforceWhile not technically part of Gong for Salesforce, Dor reminded us of the long-standin
Hi Gong Community, and especially Customer Success (Enablement) folks!I’m looking to use Gong for reporting about our activities within Customer Success. We have now launched the following aspects:Topics for Customer Success Trackers for Customer Success Smart Trackers for Customer SuccessThe next step is to leverage this information for internal reporting, within the team, for our team leads and for the stakeholders above. I am curious to get inspired on what you do to create transparency! What information do you report on regularly within the 1:1s you have, the team meetings, your leads and leads’ leads? How do you check how your customer calls impact pipeline? Do you follow call naming conventions to analyse certain types of calls? Do you leverage CRM information to build certain reports, track campaigns or topic performance? In Customer Success, we are not the primary account owners, which can complicate things. I am excited to hear from you, and happy to also have a chat about it
Thanks to everyone that attended today’s Community Meetup focused on making the most of your data in Gong. We were pleased to see a number of Gong employees from the Product Analytics Team and Value Engineering team. They are curious to hear from Gong customers, and we expect to have them join future meetups. It’s a great opportunity to get insight into current and future features. Thank you @Or Farber, @Assaf Levinson, and @Claudia McSweeneyThank you @Pete Thornton, @Marissa Lough, and @Deborah Deardorff for your contributions. I really like Pete’s comment on the “potential of data”. So true. We are here together using Gong to realize that potential. Today’s We focused on ways to discover what is working or not in your deals. Who doesn’t want to know that?! Listen to the call Highlights: People spoke about the “sea of data” and wanted to know how to explore that sea using Gong We presented assumptions and tips on how to approach this type of analysis. For example I proposed that

After a recent migration from Chorus, I have a large swath of calls that are not associated with an account. Any tips for going about this association process? Reports to get organized? Ways of easily doing large numbers of associations (vs clicking into each call and manually associating?) Thanks to you all!

Hi All,Has anyone figured out a way to block the question rate metric in Gong from counting phrases like “do you have any questions?” or “how’s the weather by you?”. It’s an important metric and I’d love to get as close to a real number as possible. Thanks!Courtney
Thanks to everyone that attended, contributed and played Jeopardy! during last week’s meetup. Yes, we had a lot of fun playing Jeopardy! If you missed the meetup you can access it here. Our meetup was focused on up-leveling your insight in Gong without ever leaving Gong, using: Win/Loss Market Insights Call Categories Smart Trackers (new!) Deals Initiatives (new feature!) Deal Drivers Takeaways: The launch of so many Insights in addition to long standing favorites like Win/Loss, diminishes the need to export data to spreadsheets or a BI tool. People, especially those that are new to Gong, are not 100% aware of all the available Insights. This was especially true for Whisper for Topics. Call To Action:Play along and listen to the call. Have fun playing Jeopardy! while learning. Register for next month’s meetup, where we plan to have a customer tell us how they are driving success using Gong.
