If you’re looking to import a Salesforce field into Gong, check first to see if it exists on your Gong company settings page > Salesforce > Manage Salesforce fields. If it’s not listed on the appropriate Object, we might not support its field type. Here are the field types we support: DATETIME DATE INT CURRENCY PERCENT DOUBLE STRING TEXTAREA EMAIL URL ADDRESS ID REFERENCE PICKLIST PHONE TIME BOOLEAN Note: “Auto Numbered” and “Formula” fields are eventually mapped to a more specific field (date, number, string, etc.), so they can be supported if they are eventually represented by one of the field types listed.
Hi Gong Community,I hope you all are doing just fine and dandy!I am a technology enablement architect as well as the Gong Technical and Business program manager at Mimecast, a Global Cyber Security company.I have been running a Gong Champions program since we rolled the tool out in November of 2021. It’s been quite an effective program as I get the opportunity to do technology enablement, discuss more on new integrations/updates and what's in the pipeline for Gong in the upcoming months…. but now that we have had Gong rolled out for about 8 months, I’ve noticed the program is starting to plateau and my attendance is dropping a bit.As we all know Gong is continuously adapting the platform and there is always content to chat about but I wanted to connect with some seasoned community members to get an idea of how to take my Gong platform to the next level as well create a bit of a “Program Syllabus” so I can make my champions program a bit more long-term, strategic and effective so its no
Hey everyone! Gong has changed our lives across sales, product and even support. The transcription could get better (maybe editing capability) but for the most part it’s great!however Our sales guys are not going to gong as it’s easier to just jump into the deal board in HubSpot, and then work the deals directly from there which include updating close dates, next steps etc. I’m curious to find out how everyone uses Gong for the deal workflow (and intelligence) when the CRM is HubSpot?
Our team would prefer to have Gong bot as a participant on recordings but we are using the native Zoom recording integration. Is it possible to still have Notetaker appear on the call?
Want to be sure your web conferencing call records? Follow these tips: Create a calendar event for the call more than 15 minutes before the call’s start time so it gets scanned by our system. When you need to create an ad-hoc event, add assistant@gong.io as a participant on the invite to make sure it gets recorded. Double check that there’s only one meeting URL on the invite. If there’s more than one meeting URL, Gong will choose which one to record at random, and it may not choose the right one. Ensure that the invite organizer accepts the invitation. If the organizer doesn’t accept the invitation, the call will be considered canceled, and won’t be recorded. Happy recording!
Hey guys, does anyone know how often Gong/Salesforce sync? We had an opportunity close but in Gong it was in pipeline for a few hours after the fact.
Hi Everyone!I am new to Gong and am working on an adoption plan for my segment. Does anyone have any tips for adoption that really helped everyone buy in to using it?Thanks so much, excited to connect!Ryan
Hey All!What are some of the ways you are measuring Marketing efforts with Gong?
A lot of times, I need to listen to my reps’ gong calls in the evening after I put the little one to bed. I like to leave lots of comments in the calls for coaching purposes. However, this means I have reps getting emails about my critiques late in the evening which I worry can stress them out. I really don’t want them to see the comments until working hours start again.
Hi, all! I help run Voice of the Customer at my company and we record all of our Customer Success calls with Gong. We currently track feedback in our product via feature request tags (we have about 700!) that we relate to specific customers in our home grown CRM. Right now, we manually tag customers based on emails, Gong calls, Slack messages, etc. and I am trying to see how we can automate this process. I know the trackers exist, but there aren’t necessarily always phrases or specific words that correlate directly with a feature request tag. I would love to be able to capture more complex feature requests and feedback snippets ideally by flagging them automatically, or alternatively, capturing them manually after the call, using our existing feature tag nomenclature. Then, I’d like to have that pulled into our product (more of a nice to have!). Any tips? I’ve seen some similar questions, but not something specific to using tags in this way.
Hi Does anyone know if there is a way to allow guests to download shared recording?I would like to share the actual video file as a downloadable instead of having to access the shared link every time anyone needs to view the meetings again. Thanks!
I don’t see any transcript option when I embed a call in the external site. Is there any way to turn on?
Hi, We have Gong setup to create a Salesforce task when a Gong/Zoom call is completed. The problem is if there are multiple contacts from the prospect company on the call then it creates a task for each person. This skews reporting and shows us as having completed more meetings than we actually have. Does anyone have a solution for this?
You can restrict which users are able to delete calls based on their permission profile settings. In your company page settings in Gong, navigate to the Permission Profiles page > select the appropriate profile > adjust this setting: For more info, check out our resources on permission profiles, here.
Hi! We have had Gong for awhile, but are currently in the process of relaunching to drive org wide adoption. Looking forward to bouncing ideas of other members and learning in this forum.

If you’d like to record your call after it has already begun and you are using native Zoom recording, just click Record > Record to Cloud in the Zoom room. When the call ends and our system finds the matching calendar event for the call, we’ll auto import it for you.If you are not using native Zoom, add assistant@gong.io to your calendar event as a participant and the Gong bot will join in a few minutes.
When a scorecard is completed does the call organizer receive an email notification?
Hello! Is it possible to view and download the company recordings after the Gong contract expire? Thank you
Is there functionality to built in Gong to drive insights by using NLP or a way to connected external tools?
The instructions below only apply to team members who are set to record. As long as at least one person from outside your company is invited to the meeting (determined based on their email address) , Gong will join it and record automatically. You’ll see Gong show up as “[YOUR COMPANY NAME] Notetaker” along with the other participants. It’s easy to add more recording users as necessary. Step 1: Create a Gong meeting invite for any customer/prospect NOTE: Google Meet no longer populates automatically. At Hack the Box, we use Google Meet for internal meetings, and are required to use the Gong meeting add-on for all external meetings with customers and prospects. Selecting Gong when at least one external user is invited to a call sets three things in motion: It generates a link that everyone uses to join the call. It lets Gong know to record the meeting. It ensures that your company’s personalized consent page URL displays automatically as each participant joins the call. If we fo
If you’d like to capture meetings with CRM contacts who aren’t set to record, enable this setting in your company settings > Google Workspace or Office365 page: Learn more about this new setting here.
Hello,We’re hoping to write Gong’s Deal Warnings back to Salesforce for reporting purposes. Is this possible through webhooks or API? Thanks,Greg
Did you attempt to connect our Salesforce integration in Gong, only to get a (gross) error code like this?
