Just looking for the best place to leave my Gong suggestions!
If you want to cancel the recording of a calendar event that includes assistant@gong.io, make sure you cancel it in your calendar provider (Google or Office 365), and select the option to notify all participants that it is canceled. If participants (including assistant@gong.io) are not notified of the cancellation, our system will not know about the cancellation and will record it.
Hey all!I see that I am able to search accounts and see activity history in Gong (provided via SFDC) but I am not seeing any Gong documentation on these features. Would love to see some!
A contact was incorrectly assigned to an account in salesforce, so all gong activity is shown under the wrong account name. I have fixed this in salesforce so now the contact is attributed to the correct account, however gong still shows the activity for this contact under the incorrect account. Will this automatically fix in gong (say, by way of a daily sync), or is there a manual way to fix? Thanks.
We’re loving our Salesforce Gong integration thus far! We love seeing call details and timelines on our Opportunities and Accounts but we are struggling to see the same on our Lead and Contact objects. On our Opportunity object records we have Gong Conversations as a related list item when can then be opened to see the call timeline and further call details. On our Lead object records we have Gong Related Leads as a related list item that only shows up the title of the call and when the call took place.Does anyone know how we can get the same Gong Conversations view that we have on our Opportunity records on our Lead records?
[Written in collaboration with Julian Gonzalez VP, Strategic Sales & Enablement at Briq. Thank you @Julian for the excellent examples, and expert perspective.] Trackers are an important building block to get the most value from Gong. They allow users to understand what is being spoken about in both calls and emails. Gong comes with a handful of out of the box trackers (Process, Budget, Authority, Timing etc.), and over the course of rolling out and evolving Gong we create additional trackers to help us understand specific mentions, processes, messaging and so much more that is unique to our company. If you aren't using trackers at your organization, it may be because you're not sure why they're valuable or how to set them up. First, let’s dive into why trackers matter so much: Trackers help: Inform what sales people are talking about Identify risk (e.g. Competitive mention in a late stage cycle) Dispel or confirm beliefs and/or your intuition (e.g About your competition, your
I really like the Gong Email labeling feature (See this Help Center article if you are not familiar with it). However from what I can tell email labels are not available in the API. We are doing some email analysis using the API, and it would be great to have the email labels available. Are there any plans to include email labels in an API call such as data-for-email-address ?
My team onboards and trains new customers on our software. Currently we share every training recording with our customers in a Box folder so they can revisit and review. We are hoping to move away from using Box and, instead, share the recordings using Gong. The challenge we’re running into is that we can’t seem to find an easy way to share them in an organized fashion so our customers can find all of their recordings in one folder. Has anyone else figured out a way to make this happen?
If you’re using our Native Zoom integration and receive an email that a Gong user isn’t a Zoom user, check the following: Does the user’s email address match in Gong and Zoom? Does the user have a license in Zoom? Their “License” field in their Zoom profile should say “Licensed” instead of “Basic”.
Hi, is there any way way to see what keywords are being used most on our demo calls logged on Gong? Perhaps a list of most used keywords? We’d like to use the data for content updates.
My team (Solutions Engineering) are rarely the hosts of calls, but I’m looking to create a report (or a filter, or anything really) that showcases their calls without needing to cross-reference their calendars. Wondering if anyone has suggestions. We leverage sfdc as our CRM, perhaps there’s a way to create reports based on opportunity teams, and see them from there?
We have an in person (old school) meeting. How can we record the meeting w/o opening a zoom call?
If you want managers to control their own team’s data capture settings, navigate to the company settings page > Team Member Provisioning, and select “Managers can turn data capture on or off for their team”.This gives managers more control, even without admin privileges.Note: If you use an automatic provisioning method, such as Salesforce or Okta, you’ll also see the option to notify managers with recorded teams when a new user is imported:For more info, check out our resources on provisioning here.
If you want your team to be able to mark their calls private, enable this setting in the appropriate permission profile: This lets call owners set their own calls as private when the conversation covers sensitive subjects. Non-call owners are also able to set a call to private, including admins. Once a call is set to private, only the call owner and internal call participants can access the call. For more information, check out the article here.
I want to put reps on teams to be able to measure achievements during a short-term sales competition.SO while a rep’s “permanent” team might be SMB1 or “Nick’s Team”, I want to add them to another team (envision calling it something like “Spring Training - Team 4”) in order to track a group of reps during this month’s sales contest. Can it be done?
I know you can set up alerts and automatic digests right in Gong, but I’m looking to go a step further - summarize what I’ve found to create a digest of interesting insights that I send to my sales leaders & teams every week or so. Does anyone have examples of interesting insights they’ve shared with their sales teams, and what they did in Gong to find those?
If you tried to upgrade ‘Gong for Salesforce’ and got an error message, follow these steps: Check that you’re using the right version! Follow the steps in the “Upgrading from v1.22 or below” or “Upgrading from v1.24 or later” section here first. Then, follow the steps in the “Upgrade Gong for Salesforce” section. IMPORTANT: It’s easy to miss, but make sure you install the prerequisite patch listed.
We have users who have multiple email addresses and calendars. Is there a way for Gong to point to different calendars?
I have been using gong for almost a year now. And suddenly over the past couple of days the Notetaker does not seem to be joining the call. I am using chrome to open the zoom link. Has anything changed recently that prevents the notetaker to join?
For a non-licensed user. How can they have access to recordings and transcription?
If you’d like to track Interaction Stats for users who were on a call but were not the call owner, toggle to “Include all call data” in the bottom right corner of the Stats page: You’ll be able to see the Talk Ratio, Longest Monologue, and Patience score for those users.Read more about Interaction Stats here.
When using Hubspot calendar Zoom integration it attaches a unique zoom meeting room ID. When testing setting this up the notetaker didnt join the Zoom call. The notetaker is only joining when they are using their personal zoom room ID which is the same URL for each meeting. What do I need to do to set this up to work correctly?
what is new/the difference with setting up “Native Recording” I have this action required notification but wondering what it will change before I set it up
My team has a list of A accounts I would love to put into a deal board to track progress and attempts to crack into to these acccounts but they do not have active opportunities. Is there a work around I could use here?
I was looking to set up a new tracker in Gong, but also wanted it to send notifications to certain people whenever that tracker gets another hit. Is sending notifications through Gong trackers possible / something we can do? I see a “email notifications” checkbox when I create a tracker but can’t find where to configure that feature.
