Under the Insights tab, you’ll see “based on # calls.” You filtered the page by “All calls,” and it’s not showing the exact number of calls you’re seeing under your Conversations tab.  No worries! It should update by the end of the week. These numbers aren’t real-time and are updated weekly (typically on Saturdays). 

Hello - I am starting to get my arms around initiatives.   One thing that would be helpful, and I don’t think too hard of an add, is giving longer time frames in the initiatives drop down.   Right now I can see my initiatives by week, month but I really want to start seeing them over the course of a quarter so I can spot trends.   Right now that is not possible.  Image attached to show what I mean.

Hello - I really appreciate the win/loss data and all the ways you can analyze.   However, I have multiple lines of business and the win ratios are very different.   One LOB has longer sales cycles and are multi threaded and the other is much more transactional with single points of contact.   As such, if I analyze all deals, the combined win/loss ratio gets skewed really fast and the data isn’t as meaningful.   I would love to be able to have multiple win/loss “boards” just like I can have more than one deal board.   As it stands now I need to keep adding and removing filters for each product family and then take screenshots if I want to share the data with others in the company.   This would be a really useful add in my opinion.   Thanks for listening.   Joe

Did you accidentally share a call? Or share the wrong snippet?  No worries - Here's how you can cancel the Shared Call!  On the call page for the shared call, navigate to the right-hand sidebar and select "Shares & views." You'll see the link that you or another team member generated. You'll click .     A pop-up with appear, and you'll choose "Cancel access to this call" and click Apply.   That's it! No one can access that call through the previously shared link.

Thanks to everyone that attended today’s Community Meetup focused on making the most of your data in Gong. We were pleased to see a number of Gong employees from the Product Analytics Team and Value Engineering team. They are curious to hear from Gong customers, and we expect to have them join future meetups. So true. We are here together using Gong to realize that potential. Today’s We focused on ways to discover what is working or not in your deals. Who doesn’t want to know that?!  Listen to the call Highlights:  People spoke about the “sea of data” and wanted to know how to explore that sea using Gong We presented assumptions and tips on how to approach this type of analysis. Gong Deals has been excellent to streamline Gong and Salesforce integration!Instead of getting confused with multiple Salesforce reports and staying limited to data displayed in the CRM, with Gong Deals we can have a full view of how our negotiation approach is working (or not!).We can have all we need in one place (Accounts, Opportunities, Events and Tasks) and that has been crucial for our Sales Engagement strategy. And not only for new business, but also to guarantee renewals (moreover when they are at a right risk!).We started using Gong for the Sales Team, so they could a have a complete visibility about how the demos were going and, some months later, our Customer Success team also embraced the software and started using Gong to get prepared for renewals.Our next step, is to incorporate Gong in our Marketing processes.   

We have been using the Deals dashboard to have more effective pipeline reviews with our account executives.  Recently we added specific keyword trackers under our Stalled Opportunities column mentioned by people outside of our organization in which they said “first quarter, january, next year, q1” to try and find those opportunities that tried to kick the can down the road into the new year.  We quickly identified lapsed opportunities and looked at the activity timeline leading up to where we’re currently at.  Managers are able to jump in and assist in follow up or gently nudge reps with advice on how to progress the sale.  

We use Gong Deal boards for our Customer Success team to forecast renewals, up-sells, and cross-sells.We’ve set up boards that give us visibility to the Renewable $, Upgrades, Downgrades, and mix of One-Time vs. Software vs. Services. We have these set up as calculated columns from our CRM (HubSpot) that are then visible in the Gong Deal Boards.We use the board every week in our team meetings to drive the conversation on deal pipeline which serves as an input towards forecasting our Net Revenue Retention.

If a seller logs a call in Salesforce that is not recorded, it doesn't pull over to Gong... is it possible to log a completed task in gong to get a full representation of what's happening with the account?   While I know a seller could just create fake logged calls I can manage that on my end.   Is there a way, either programmatically or more manually to get “credit” for a logged call?  I ask b/c one of the things we track closely is activity (or lack of) so if a rep is making attempts to connect I want to see that and for them to get the “credit” for it.   Is this possible and/or how can we do so?

The key to effectively using Gong Deals to strengthen forecast accuracy is first setting up a deal board with individual tabs for each forecast category.From there, warnings can be leveraged to identify deals with potential red flags, particularly with best case & commit deals set to close within the month or quarter. Once the opportunities are identified the manager can dig into the details of the red flag and work directly with the sales rep to understand and overcome the roadblock. If the flag is ultimately going to impact the timing of the deal or the likelihood of it closing the forecast can be adjusted proactively rather than that deal lingering in the wrong forecast category.The icing on the cake is any updates that need to be made to the Salesforce opportunity can happen directly from the deal board, making pipeline review conversations super efficient!

So it’s not a secret, if you look at my Linkedin, that I’m low grade obsessed with Gong. Not only is the solution top of the line, they show they care about their customers by investing in customer education programs that help us scale our knowledge such that we can scale our team effectively.  In that, here’s a few tips I have as a long time Gong user and Frontline manager that may help you accelerate on your quota attainment.Do the training 😁 trust me, it’s worth it. Ask for help. Gong loves their customers and they want to talk to you. If you are stuck, raise a hand and they will be on the way to support.  Set up your deal board alerts. These will help you flag which sales are at risk. Find a Gong champion at the IC level to help build excitement and buy-in from your team.  Create a habit of using Gong everyday, whether it’s listening to a call, managing deals or pulling insights from call trackers. A Zoom meeting is scheduled by a host/organizer who doesn't join the meeting, will that call recording appear in Gong?Yes, it will!If the host doesn't join the call but another recorded team member does, Gong will record. However,  it will appear in Gong under the participant's name. For example:

Our company is driving some of the industry best promotions, but it is sometimes difficult to get sellers on board with positioning these promotions. I personally run week-over-over progress meetings on mentions of the promotions that we have highlighted for the week / month. I do this by creating a very specific tracker that will pick up a couple of key words. I double check the trackers against current conversations to ensure that I am picking up the right words and to limit false positives / negatives. To take this a step further, I have a weekly meeting with my sales reps. We will listen to a handful of calls, as a team, to help everyone with their talk track around the specific promotion. This allows the sellers, and I see a much higher adoption rate for any of these promotions!

Are there Deals you don't see on your Forecast Board?  Check your Deals tab! All the data on your Forecast Board comes from your Deal Board. With that said, if the deal information is inaccurate or missing on your Forecast Board, it is most likely inaccurate or missing on your Deal Board as well! Reach out to the Support Team to determine why you may have inaccurate or missing data.  Check out your filters if you see a deal on your forecasting board but not on your deal board (and vice versa)! The filters may block the deal from making it to the board! Check out our article for more details on filters when creating a Forecasting Board!

I have a number of saved searches. (see attached).  If I go to this list, and I want to see the criteria I have set for a specific search, how can I do so?   The edit pencil allows me to change the name but I don’t see where I can update the specific filters for a given saved search.   For example, I have a saved search for a specific tracker called “Good Question” and then that filter is also set for specific groups of people.   If I want to add or remove a person and save the filter, how would I do so?   It seems to me the only way I can do that is to delete it and rebuild it from scratch which can’t be right.   Any insight is appreciated. Did you send/receive an email, and it's not showing under "activity" on the deals page?  Does your Gong Primary email address match the email address in your CRM? Is the external individual sending/receiving the email a contact for that opportunity in your CRM?   If both of these appear correct, email us at help@gong.io! Please provide the message ID(s) for the missing email(s) and a screenshot of the "Original Message"? Hello - I have a number of columns that I have added to my deal boards for things like trackers and various Salesforce fields.   This morning when I logged in I don’t see them on the deal board anymore.   I can see them when I go to edit the respective board but I don’t see them when I view the board as a user.   Any help or insights are appreciated.   I have added a few screenshots to show the end user view and my view of the deal board.  Thanks, Joe 

After a recent migration from Chorus, I have a large swath of calls that are not associated with an account.  Any tips for going about this association process?  Reports to get organized?  Ways of easily doing large numbers of associations (vs clicking into each call and manually associating?) Thanks to you all!
